Sleep products we would recommend

We chat to a lot of families about sleep and they often ask our recommendations for various products so, this month, we thought we would give you a run down of our favourites:

Daytime

Snoozeshade

On the go naps can be tricky of you have a very alert little one so  we always suggest a Snooze shade. Be mindful of any imitations, however, because Snoozeshades allow the air to circulate and also protect from any harmful UV rays during the summer.

Toddle Born Wild

When you are out and about you might need gentle products for your adventures, this is where Toddle Born Wild come in.

They provide children’s natural skincare including insect repellent, sunscreen and products to prevent dribble rash!

Kiddiwhiz Whizzer

Once the little one is potty trained, heading out on long journeys can fill you with a sense of dread.

The Whizzer can be a great emergency back up if you get stuck in traffic and your little one reeeeeeaaaaaaallllllly needs the toilet. We have this as part of our emergency kit, after breaking down at the side of the road, but it can work just as well wherever you are (even if you go for a night camping with your little ones).

A Gro blind, or similar

Night time in winter can be perfectly fine for your little ones to sleep in their room because it is, naturally, pitch black. If, however, it is a bright and sunny day, naps might be a very different story and we always suggest little ones over four months nap, and sleep at bedtime, in a completely dark room. We find blackout curtains don’t always manage this, so we suggest adding a gro blind or something similar.

Natal Active: Maternity & Postnatal Activewear for Mums

This is super soft active wear both for mummies to be AND for after pregnancy! The sports bras and tops are all designed to be breastfeeding friendly and the leggings fit before, during and after pregnancy too!

Bed and night time

Little Butterfly

If your little one has sensitive skin, or even likes a massage before bedtime, Little Butterfly have a delightful range for bath time. They are very gentle (and beautifully scented) and cover all sorts from top to toe wash, massage oil or even baby face cream for little ones who need a little bit of moisture.

Night Lark/Fine Bedding Company Bedding

Once your little one has a duvet cover and pillow, a Night Lark bedding set can be a game changer. They are gorgeous, soft and wash (and dry) incredibly well.

If you have not heard of them they are a duvet cover and duvet in one and, having trialled them, they are fantastic for bedwetting, travel, and just keeping your little ones bedding clean.

(Full disclosure we were originally gifted one but have since bought more!)

A Zeepy clock

If you have a toddler, or older child, who gets up earlier than you would like, it’s really important that they know when they can wake up. Certainly some younger children cannot manage to tell the time and therefore a Zeepy clock, or a glow Gro clock, can be really useful to let them know it is time to wake up

My happy self journal

Older children can sometimes find it tricky to switch off from the day so using a My Happy Self Journal can really help them work out, and work through, their feelings!
