Looking for a great day out with your toddler? We’ve got you covered!
M Shed
M-Shed is free for everyone and really is an easy place to spend a couple of hours. There’s a lot to see, a quiet corner with some toys, as well as interactive exhibits, plus a child friendly cafe and changing places. You can even look out onto the water and walk along to see the boats (and on special weekends, take a ride in a steam train)!
Bristol Aquarium
Bristol Aquarium may not be the biggest aquarium but, with children under three being able to enter for free, it’s a fun couple of hours, especially for little legs. Little ones can watch all the colourful fish, rays, and even sharks. The aquarium’s paths are easy to navigate with a pushchair and your toddler will love the interactive rock pool section. There’s a child free cafe but, equally, it’s well placed for a harbour side lunch!
We The Curious
We The Curious is a hands-on science museum, on the harbour side and is perfect for rainy days! Your little one will love the interactive displays and the dedicated under-5s space means they can explore safely! Another easy child friendly cafe and easy change spaces…just beware of the gift shop on the way out! 😉
Bristol Zoo Project
It’s wonderful if you have little ones who love running around, and enjoy the outdoors – and Bristol Zoo Project is a great option for that! With so many animals to see, and activities to try, you may struggle to get round with the speed of little legs but there’s an underground play area for those rainy moments and a cafe for hungry tummies! There’s even a pizzeria, just don’t wait until hunger strikes to order as there can be a short wait.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is a lovely way to spend the day. Your little ones can watch the larger animals like elephants and lions but there are plenty of little ones to see too! There are play areas and soft play for those cloudy moments too plus a café for that all important coffee!
